Children's animation following the adventures of Maya the Bee. After discovering Buzzlina Von Beena (voice of Jacki Weaver)'s evil plot to become queen, young outcast Maya (Coco Jack Gillies) is banished from her hive. Joined by her best friend Willy (Kodi Smit-McPhee), grasshopper Flip (Richard Roxburgh) and young hornet Sting (Joel Franco), Maya sets out to finally end the fighting between bees and hornets in order to save the Queen (Miriam Margolyes) and return home.
