Peter Sellers stars in this British comedy directed by Robert Day. Dodger Lane (Sellers) decides to take advantage of his current imprisonment to commit the perfect crime. Together with his fellow inmates Jelly Knight (David Lodge) and Lennie the Dip (Bernard Cribbins), he joins forces with conman Soapy Stevens (Wilfrid Hyde-White) to escape from prison, steal a collection of diamonds and return to prison before anyone knows they are missing. Will the new Chief Prison Officer Crout (Lionel Jeffries) manage to thwart their scheme? The cast also includes Maurice Denham, Irene Handl and Liz Fraser.
