Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr star in this romantic drama directed by Leo McCarey. Nickie Ferrante (Grant) and Terry McKay (Kerr) are both involved with other people when they meet on board a ship travelling from Europe to America. They fall in love with each other and when the ship reaches New York, they make a pact to meet in six months at the top of the Empire State Building if they are free to be together. However, when Nickie believes that Terry has rejected him, will they ever find their way back to each other?
