A history of the Aberdeen Fish Manure and Oil Company which set up its factory in Cove and closed in 1930. Its principal product was fish manure which was transformed from second class fish and fish offal to first class manure. It was sold to the Kent hop fields, to the French vineyards, and to German farmers who were building up the reputation of a high value health content vegetable - beetroot. Also, included is a history of the Aberdeen Railway Company which was set up in 1845 with the first train running to Cove on the 9th of March , 1850.
