Max Schreck stars in this silent German horror classic directed by F.W. Murnau. Count Orlok (Schreck) wishes to move from his castle in the Carpathian Mountains to the town of Wisburg in Germany and estate agent Thomas Hutter (Gustav von Wangenheim) is sent to make the necessary arrangements. The locals fear Orlok and believe that he is a vampire and though Hutter is initially unconvinced, he soon learns the truth. When Orlok becomes enamoured with Hutter's wife Ellen (Greta Schröder), tragedy ensues.
