Sigourney Weaver reprises her role as Ellen Ripley in this third instalment of the sci-fi horror franchise directed by David Fincher. After leaving planet LV-426, Ripley's escape pod crash-lands on Fiorina 161, which is home to a maximum security prison. She is rescued by the inmates but soon discovers that she was not the only survivor: an alien accompanied her and it is now fully grown. Despite the fact that they have no weapons, Ripley persuades the others to join her in attempting to kill it, but when it mysteriously spares her life during a fight, she fears the reason why. The cast also includes Charles Dance, Charles S. Dutton and Lance Henriksen.
