Franc Roddam directs this British drama based on The Who's 1973 rock opera of the same name. In London in 1964, young Mod Jimmy Cooper (Phil Daniels) seeks to escape the banality of his everyday life by partying, taking drugs, riding scooters and fighting with Rockers. The conflict between the Mods and the Rockers escalates when both groups travel to Brighton for the bank holiday weekend but Jimmy becomes increasingly disillusioned with his life in the aftermath. The cast also includes Leslie Ash, Sting and Mark Wingett.
