Roland Emmerich directs this sci-fi action thriller starring Matthew Broderick, Jean Reno and Hank Azaria. French nuclear tests in the Pacific create Godzilla, a huge reptilian monster that makes its way to New York and threatens the city with complete destruction. Scientist Niko Tatopoulos (Broderick), TV reporter Audrey Timmonds (Maria Pitillo) and French secret agent Philippe Roaché (Reno) are the city's only hope of survival, but the discovery of a nest containing over 200 eggs could pose an even greater threat.
